A comparative tasting of two Barolo vintages, 2011 vs 2021
A Masterclass in collaboration with AIS PIEMONTE
The tasting event all Barolo enthusiasts have been waiting for is back!
A truly unique opportunity to compare two different vintages, namely 2011 and 2021, of the same Barolo.
· The 2011 vintage possesses all the characteristics expected of great wines from our region: low vineyard yield, excellent tannin content and a truly interesting bouquet. Together we will discover its evolution 10 years after release.
· The 2021 vintage, the latest to come onto the market, shows great promise and has been very well received. It has given us structured and balanced wines, destined to age well, and which we are curious to savour and explore further in this tasting.
It will be a unique opportunity to compare two vintages, 2011 and 2021,
and appreciate the evolution of a bottle after 10 years.
There will be wines from 15 winemakers of La Morra present, divided into three groups of five, so as to discover all the nuances of Barolo di La Morra at its best.
How does it work?
For each tasting round (3 in total)
there will be 5 mini verticals, and from these 5 producers you will taste their Barolo from 2021 and then the 2011 vintage of the same label.
The tasting will be hosted and guided by an AIS representative; the event will last 2 hours.
When?
The dates are Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April.
On Saturday, there will be two tasting rounds, one at 11 a.m. and one at 3 p.m., on Sunday there will be a single tasting round at 11 a.m.
It will be a seated tasting, in Italian only. Reservations are mandatory.
