History
The Silvio Grasso company was founded in 1927, but only in the mid-1980s Alessio Federico – the current owner, took over from his father Silvio and began bottling he entire production.
People
Today the company is run by the family: together with Alessio Federico, there are his wife Marilena and their children Paolo and Silvio.
Vineyards
The company has 14 hectares, 6 of which are owned and 8 of which ae rented. 2 hectares of estate vineyards, with southern exposure and planted with Nebbiolo da Barolo, are located in the renowned cru of Luciani and Manzoni in La Morra, from which the homonymous Barolo wines are produced.
Wines
The company produces six Barolos, two versions of Barbera d’Alba, one Langhe Dolcetto, two versions of Langhe Nebbiolo and one Nebbiolo d’Alba.
