History
Located in the centre of the Barolo territory, the origins of Franco Molino cellar date back to the 1940s, when Silvana's great-grandfather, during one of his business trips, discovered the Langhe hills and was so enthusiastic about them that he decided to move to live in the area, in the small village of La Morra, where he bought the Cascina Rocca farmhouse and several plots of vineyards.
People
Currently, the family-run business has about 10 hectares of vineyards, all located in the Barolo wine production area. Today Silvana, her husband Piercarlo and their daughter Francesca run the winery.
Vineyards
The estate vineyards are Bricco Zuncai and Vigna Sarmassa in Barolo, Rocche dell’Annunziata and Bricco Rocca in La Morra and Villero in Castiglione Falletto.
Wines
The Franco Molino winery produces Barolo, Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo and Langhe Favorita. The various phases of production are followed down to the smallest detail, using innovative technological systems, in order to guarantee the highest level of quality.
