History
Grandfather Giuseppe arrived in La Morra in 1948. Elio’s first trip to Burgundy, in January 1976, was a thunderbolt: when he returned, he was convinced of the need for change, so he decided to start experimenting with alternative routes to the traditional one. His father Giovanni didn’t understand those drastic choices, but Elio didn’t give up and still hasn’t: he was determined to change course and give another interpretation to wine, favouring elegance, finesse and balance. Elio still stubbornly pursues his dream today, supported by his daughter Silvia since 2003.
