History
In 1951 Ernesto, father of the current owner Sergio, planted the Nebbiolo vineyard in the Bricco Rocca, a massal selection of the best plants from the neighbouring vineyards, 3000 plants on the Rupestris du Lot foot. One of Annunziata's first Barolo wines, gentle and silky, already reached Canada in the 1970s. When the founder died in 1975 it was Elio, Sergio's brother, who ran the estate with great care, keeping the old vines of Bricco Rocca and Terrazze del Pelorosso in good shape.
People
Today, Sergio and his sister Margherita run the company. They are the current owners of this small property at Annunziata di La Morra.
Vineyards
There are 6 hectares of land divided between vegetable gardens, meadows, fruit and vineyards, all of which have been farmed organically since 2013. The Bricco Rocca vineyard, used for the production of Barolo Riserva del Fico, has vines over 60 years old and an exceptional exposure.
Wines
The production is very limited, Sergio produces the classic wines of the Langa: Barolo, Langhe Nebbiolo and Barbera d'Alba.
