History
In 1959, the founder and father of the current owner decided to continue his work as a farmer by purchasing a farmhouse in the municipality of La Morra. Life in the countryside is dynamic and Mr. Oberto soon realised that it was necessary to add other activities to the work in the vineyards, such as the cultivation of peaches and the raising of livestock, which were very common in the Langa at that time. Despite the small expansion of the business, his son Andrea decided to leave the family business and concentrate on other types of work to supplement his earnings. It was the sudden death of his father that brought him back to his hometown: it was clear that the legacy of what his parents had created from nothing in the 1950s was not just the work itself, but the decision to structure a family, a passion, a territory. Since 1978 Andrea Oberto has thus decided to take care of this heritage left to him, making the wines of the Oberto winery a symbol of the highest quality appreciated all over the world.
