History
Pietro Chiarlo was born in Bubbio in 1898 into a family of farmers. As a teenager he works as a farm boy and then in Canelli, in the cellar, where he is employed washing the Dutch sacks used to filter the Moscato. In 1935, Michele Chiarlo, Pietro's eldest son, is born. After secondary school, Michele managed to get himself enrolled in the Alba wine school 'on condition that he always passed'. So it was, and in 1956 Michele Chiarlo began his adventure as a wine producer. In the 1990s, Michele's two sons joined the winery: Stefano took care of the agricultural and oenological side, and Alberto took care of the commercial and marketing side.
